Nothing Interesting, Everything Right

August 13, 2020 – The day before was Supper Club. I had one more day this week to get dressed as it was too hot to do anything in the yard. I started the day playing pickleball with my other elderly peers and then getting in a well paced seven mile run (as I also had done the day before).

I had a bunch of errands to run, so why not do so dressed! So here we are on this day.

I love this Charlotte Russe top and the off-white skirt and red shoes were the perfect complement. I could go cold shoulder with the top, but for me, I prefer it as you see here. You all are the only ones seeing my entire presentation, since I was masked for the entire day, about two and a half hours.

I had a list of household things I needed to get, one of which was a very specific battery for the garage door remote. Well, that damn battery was not easy to find (while dressed). Yes, I probably could have picked it up less than a mile from my house, but I didn’t expect it to be so hard to find where I went. I stopped at Walmart (where I got a lot of things I needed), Giant Eagle (where I got a few more), Michael’s, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Aldi’s (where I picked up a few more things), Home Depot (where I finally got the battery and a tremendous complement on my outfit), I then checked out the Salvation Army Thrift store (nothing) and hit the mall to visit Macy’s (where I bought the most darling little “K” necklace), NY &Co (nothing), Dillard’s (nothing) and Express (where I got a $90 dress on $15 clearance). Whew! In and out of eleven stores, plus the walk through the mall.

It was very hot, so it was time to get home in the AC. A few hours out and it, as always these days, felt right. I was waiting to check out at Macy’s when the SA told the woman in line in front of me that she would come over and help her find something after “I check her out”. That”her”, me!! It never gets old.

My original plan was to get dinner at a nearby favorite restaurant. But once I got in the car and removed my mask which was on the entire trip, I looked like The Joker, my lipstick smeared all over my mouth. I was afraid of that, which is why I didn’t remove the mask until I was done shopping. Oh well!

No great story this day, just a great day and some pictures I am very proud of.

Damn, she’s cute!!
