Linda’s Final Question (For Now, I Hope)

Presumably ‘he’ never goes to the places Kandi does or meets people who do know about Kandi?

Quite the contrary.  Many who know Kandi have come to know me otherwise.  Now the opposite does not occur (if I can help it).  I work all the time at the art museum.  Been there with my wife (as myself) and was treated well, addressed by my male name, no problem whatsoever.

I visit the Rock Hall (but don’t work there) in both modes.  Many of the employees greet Kandi fondly, while I walk through and am only treated like the other guests (well, but not specially).  Kandi is unique and memorable, me, a JAG.

So far I have worked two events for The Arthritis Foundation.  One as Kandi, the other not (it was a 5K that I participated in).  No issue at all.  My help was appreciated, I was addressed appropriately, no one cared a bit.  I enjoyed both events, but for very different reasons.

Since I have never fooled anyone (who thought I was a woman or even was a transwoman), I am completely open with those that have initially met me as Kandi.  They know I am married to a woman as a man.  They know our children have no idea about Kandi.  I’m pretty much an open book in those relationships.

I wish the pendulum swung both ways, but the downside of that is much too great.  No upside, only downside risk.

Linda, wow, thank you so much for making me use my old and broken down mind so much and giving me so many valuable posts.  Want to know anything else??
