September 22, 1019 – With my wife working both days of the weekend, I headed off to my church. I had only been there once in the past few months. I was anxious to get back. Let me talk about the outfit. This is another outfit that I assembled pretty quickly after acquiring the feature piece (the LRD). But it hung and hung in my closet, not looking great on the hangar, so much better on me. I forgot how great the dress is which you cannot tell with the lovely jacket. You’ll see this dress again soon, I think.
But wait! What? It’s going to be 90 degrees today? The church has no air conditioning. No way I can wear a blazer. Time to call an audible. So I went with this cute dress. Now please understand, any outfit is usually vetted a few times before taking her out for a spin. This time, I pulled the dress out of the closet, got ready and off I went. There is a lot to love with this dress. It highlights my cleavage in a classy and comfortable way. The length is perfect, the sleeve length is great as well. It perfectly suits my body and is so comfortable.
I just went to church, picked up a pizza and headed home. I was just too hot for me.
Church was wonderful, as always. I sat with six other ladies during the service. Most of the service I had a smile that I didn’t even realize was there, which to me means I was in a good place. After services, I renewed a few friendships and gathered hugs for the day. What a very special place!
If you are comfortable being out dressed and are looking for a place to go, find a church. Really, it’s not hard to do. I’ve been a part of two and been to many, many more, always being accepted. I could have easily joined at least five other congregations. Wearing your “Sunday best” allows for freedom to dress nicely with many fashion options. Fashion, acceptance, love, not a bad way to go.
More musical irony: I arrived at the starting line for the marathon to U2’s “Beautiful Day” blaring over the loud speaker. As I crossed the finish line, in some serious discomfort, my iPod was playing “Beautiful Day”.
