Seven Days of Dee – Day One

This really pleases me. I very much enjoy presenting posts by others, getting out and experiencing some of the very same things I have, that I preach about. Pat’s series, Sherry’s Voice lessons, adventures by Cassidy, Tina, Rachael, Marie and a few others. It’s really cool and so much more interesting than my blathering. This series will run for the next seven Sundays. Thanks Dee!!

There are multiple gatherings throughout the year (and the country) for crossdressers. One such event is Pinkfest in Chicago, held the last week of September. I finally decided I could work it into my schedule and attend the first two days of Pinkfest, and bookend other days out on the front and back.

I’m Dee, occasional contributor and guest star to the blog. Like Kandi, I’ve wanted to go out dressed in public for much of my life, but only in the last three years have I done it regularly. This was an opportunity to get out as Dee for seven days in a row.

My schedule lined up like this. Friday and Saturday some coaching in mid-state Illinois, a Sunday morning triathlon close to where I would be coaching, and then after the race to Chicago. Sunday afternoon and all day Monday solo in Chicago, join the Pinkfest activities on Tuesday and Wednesday, and return home Thursday.

Day One, Friday–Time for pretty toes

My GG friend Michelle, whom I have written about in Kandi’s Land, has opened her own salon, and offered me a service on the house (I’ve been helping her with the accounting for her business). I wanted painted toes for my week, so I arranged a pedicure. I showed up as a boy, changed into Dee at the salon, and had my pedicure. We talked and caught up while she did my pedicure, as we hadn’t seen each other in person for about three months.

I chose a top she gave me (I have some “hand-me-downs” from her, and she loves seeing me in her former clothes), paired with a psuedo-leather skirt, and a pair of heels that would show my painted toes. I drove about two hours dressed, stopped at a consignment store to try on a few things, and then cleaned up and drove the rest of the way to my coaching gig.

More next week!
