October 19, 2019 – I will have to admit, this dress, this was the one I could not wait to wear in front of as many people as I could. Outfit number six on our October outfit/event run. The absolute definition of femininity. Lace, subtle, delicate, the perfect fit. Wow…… I picked it up without trying it on and when I got home was blown away by it. It’s one of those dresses that don’t wow on the hanger, but once on you, oh my! I wish I did a better job of capturing it, maybe I need to fire my photographer.
North Coast Men’s Chorus held their annual fall fundraiser, a murder mystery and as usual, I was there selling raffle tickets and just enjoying myself. I literally smiled all night! I’ve become friends with the bartenders there, always a good idea. I seem to befriend the bartenders at every event I work (I wonder why?). We had so much fun laughing and telling stories. I received complement after complement all evening, but my favorite was when I was told I was “adorable”. I liked that….
Remember this picture? A woman walks into the banquet room and walks over to me and said she saw me somewhere. Then she remembered it was the Asian festival (this past August). She remember exactly what I was wearing. She said she was there with her husband and wanted to come over to ask me to join them but chickened out. I told her that I wished she had because the festival was a dud for me and I would have loved the company. Kinda cool……..
As you can see from the photo above, I took the opportunity to take some outdoor photos on what was a perfect fall afternoon. I have no other real stories, just a whole bunch of love and happiness. I was in that dress for over eight hours and just loved the look, the feel, the absolute comfort of it and me throughout the day. Here is my friend Carrie and I. She was the friend who recently had some car trouble and had to cancel a girl’s outing we had planned. We will reschedule very soon!!
Damn, that was really fun!
