December 14, 2019 – This was the weekend of North Coast Men’s Chorus’ Christmas concerts. It was in a new venue to us and I was filling my new role as Front of House Manager. The show was in the evening and I went with what I hoped was a cute Christmas outfit, a red dress, black pinstriped blazer, tights, pumps and a statement necklace.
Before I reported for duty, I took the opportunity to see my friend Leah and have my dinner and take advantage of Happy Hour. The last time I saw her, a few months back, she told me how I helped inspire her to take acting lessons (I am not sure about that, but it pleased me). Well, apparently those lessons are paying off! She landed two extra roles in Hollywood productions currently being shot in Cleveland. One of the movies is being shot by native Clevelanders The Russo Brothers (ever hear of the top all-time grossing Avengers: End Game?). The Avengers movie was also shot here as are many movies, believe it or not. I was very happy to both see her and hear about these wonderful occurrences.
I wish I could spin more of a tale here on my evening after that. The stop to see Leah was so great and I enjoyed seeing many of the patrons I have come to know and love at the concert. Given my responsibilities and a raging bloody nose I developed when I got there, the evening was fun but workmanlike and I was dog tired. We also had to deal with understanding the logistics associated with a new venue and all that went with that. Plus I had a 5 AM alarm the next morning which you will read about tomorrow.
So here is me enjoying the very well crafted Lemontini Leah made for me (twice……).
