This sounds familiar to me, but I can’t place it……..
September 25, 2020 – Thank you Lennon and McCartney. I think these kids can make it big.
This evening I booked a cooking class, featuring cavatelli and meatballs. It was a lovely day, so I went cute, casual and if I must say so myself, adorable!! I recently picked up this wonderful t-shirt at the NY&Co liquidation sale and I LOVE IT!

My first stop was at Ann’s Wigs, located in the Cleveland suburb of Parma. I had been there once before, probably three years ago. The Asian gentleman there is unbelievably sweet (not sure who Ann is), but somewhat difficult to understand with his accent and the requisite mask. He remembered me and got me squared away with another new do, which I just love! My current look was taking a beating and I still suck at hair care and wig maintenance. Long hair is me, but it also wears much more quickly than shorter hair.
So here we are, ta da!!

I had about a half hour to kill, so I headed to the nearby Ross Dress For Less. Happily, I bought nothing (although I agonized about a purse I loved), but just enjoyed being a woman out shopping. Always a wonderful feeling!
I got to Stir Studio Kitchen a bit early. The set up is BYOB and I had a bottle of Pinot Noir calling my name. So I headed in and met Charlie, the owner and our “teacher”. I sipped my wine and chatted with him as he got set up and 20 minutes in I knew it was money well spent. I have also scheduled the upcoming October Supper Club to be held there and this will be a frequent go to spot for me.
This evening we made cavatelli and meatballs, a kale Caesar salad and Nutella gelato.
The class consisted of me, Charlie and three couples and guess what?? I fit in with zero issues! It was like someone like me is no big deal because someone like me is no big deal. I knew no one walking in the door (I love doing that) and had a blast the entire time.
Beau and Leah shared my table with me. They were boyfriend and girlfriend and probably in their early 30’s. Leah and I chatted about cooking and Beau and I talked football and his career. I even shared my senior football photo with them (I was a tight end, best hands on a team that never passed, so I did a lot of watching).
Another couple was actually a Mom and her son, who brought her to the class as a birthday gift. Carol was actually a year older than me and she attended the public high school directly across the street from the Catholic high school I attended, so we had some common ground. She was wonderful and we talked quite a bit. The woman in the third couple was actually training to work at Stir and teach classes. She did very well and I told her so.
I was there for three hours, talked almost the entire time and felt great. I cannot wait to go back in a few weeks. Here was my meal.

The gelato was amazing. All in all, I had a wonderful time!!
