Awesome Afternoon!

September 16, 2020 – About a month or so back I booked a photographer for an outdoor photo shoot. Over the course of that time, I settled on three outfits, a lovely CK dress (bought at Piece Unique), a cold shoulder blouse with a tight white skirt and an angelic white off-the-shoulder lace dress (Express, clearance). Feminine, feminine, feminine!

Mother Nature fully cooperated with bright sunshine, low 70 degree temperatures and no humidity. Alex, the photographer had many ideas we exchanged in emails leading up to my big day. I played some pickleball in the morning as the angel known as my wife got ready for work. Then I got to work! I packed the car with props and two of my three outfits. Then the full body shave, makeup and getting dressed in my first outfit.

I had some hydration (if that’s what you can call it) while doing so, which reared its ugly head on my way to meet Alex. So I stopped at Macy’s along the way to use the ladies room and met up with Alex. We connected online and I assumed Alex was male. To my pleasant surprise, he was a she and she was wonderful! The afternoon took a huge step up the happiness scale.

Over the course of a couple of hours we shot a bunch of photos between yours truly changing into the next outfit behind a blanket Alex held up for me, doing so on the streets of Cleveland. The whole experience was deeply touching and made me happy deep into my core. Now you need to understand, I did my own makeup. Also, once I left home, I had no access to a mirror and went through two outfit changes, in the street. So please forgive any flaws.

I did not yet have the finished product as of the time I wrote this post, but Alex had shared one advance peak for each outfit. How’d we do?

On my way home, wearing this wonderful white dress, my shoulders completely uncovered, me feeling as feminine as is humanly possible, I made what might be my last visit to NY&Co., everything 90% off. Yes, I bought some things, how could I not? I had a lovely conversation with the SA, who told me she loved my dress. My dress! That still resonates and touches me in ways I could never have ever imagined.

I then picked up my dinner at a Chinese restaurant, where I was called ma’am (there was nothing else to call me on this day) and I headed home, still smiling almost painfully, my face hurt.

Every Monday over the course of the next few weeks you’ll see what we did. Some are pictures I am very proud of. Others are not that flattering because I am not that flattering.
