September 24, 2020 – I wasn’t even going to write a separate post for this day, but afterward, I felt the need to do so. The emoji described my day (as Kandi), despite it being a crappy day otherwise.
My Achilles (the other one than the one that was injured a year or so back) was a bit tight. I got up early and went for what was planned to be a seven mile run. At about mile 4, running home was no longer an option. I had to walk (very gingerly) and cut some corners to get home. Not good.

[Yeah, I know the close up is WAY too close!!]
Then the day took what is always a good turn for me as I got dressed for my shift at the art museum. I headed out the door and had to make a stop at the bank. As I did a few weeks prior, I went into the bank, made a deposit (dressed) and walked out. Just a woman doing her banking.
I then stopped to get gas, just a woman filling up her tank.
Then my shift began. I was paired up with Sally, a delightful woman, a few years my senior (she still has a tube TV, which only gets one channel, yes I heard all about it). We talked the bulk of our two hour shift, just two ladies talking. She was completely comfortable with this tall woman named Kandi.
I had two wonderful encounters this day. Two ladies walked into the museum and Sally and I were chatting with them. They had never been there and we suggested some things they might find of interest. Then one of the women says to me that she wakes up every morning hoping to look as good as I did. Oh my! She was very sweet and specific in her comments, mentioning my jewelry and telling me that I was very “well put together”. I misted up on that, for sure, because I do strive to be well put together and I take great pride in how I accessorize myself.
Later a couple walked in and we chatted a bit about where a specific exhibit was located. The woman thanked me and then told me that should loved my earrings. The earrings I dropped a buck on at many of my recent NY&Co. liquidation sale purchases. Again, oh my!
On the way home, I made two more stops, just a woman doing her shopping. It never, EVER, gets old.
A simple, a sometime boring, but a glorious day!
Then I went home and found out my furnace needed more work than I had hoped. The story here, I hurt my Achilles, I may have furnace problems (with the associated costs) and yet, my day at the art museum made the “title” of this post what is it.
I am rather fond of this outfit. Classy, stylish, casual yet dressy and all me!!

October 12, 2020 – UPDATE
The furnace was down for about a week. Fortunately, the weather was perfect and it wasn’t needed.
The repairs were made and all covered by the soon-to-expire warranty.
My Achilles is killing me, more figuratively than literally. This past Sunday was that long awaited marathon, for which I have been training for about 10 months. I had to cancel. That hurt. I can do everything I always do, except run. I tried to run Sunday and almost got to the end of my driveway. Getting old sucks!
